Open Space Strategy competition winner

Open Space Strategy Winner
Nuneaton resident Alison Martin-Flaven will be hitting the shops soon with £25 vouchers won through a Borough-wide competition.

In April this year the Council sent out a questionnaire to residents of Nuneaton and Bedworth as part of the Open Space Strategy consultation.  The aim of the questionnaire was to collect vital information relating to the use of open space within the Borough and questions centred on things such as paths and cycle-ways, toilet facilities and play areas.

There was a fantastic response via both the online form and the printed questionnaire which was sent out with the spring edition of NBBC’s residents’ magazine, In Touch, and the information gathered is now being analysed to assist the local authority in shaping its Public Open Space strategy.  An incentive of £25 of store vouchers was included to be awarded to the lucky resident whose completed form was selected at random.  This took place recently and Alison Martin-Flaven was announced as the lucky winner.

Cllr Ian Lloyd, portfolio holder for arts and leisure, said:
“I would like to thank everyone who took part in the survey.  We had a great response and the results will enable us to plan for the future of the open spaces around the Borough.

“My congratulations go to Mrs Martin-Flaven who will no doubt enjoy a bit of retail therapy with her prize!”
