Direction of Travel

The performance of Councils is measured by the Audit commission under the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) scheme.  In March 2008, we were pleased to hear that our CPA score had improved from a Weak to a Good rating. 

 

Although huge improvements had been made, we recognised that there was still work to do, which is reflected in our work to continually improve the services we provide.

 

As part of monitoring our progress, the Audit Commission have asked us to produce a ‘Direction of Travel’ document which provides a self-assessment of our performance over the past year.

 

The document has now been submitted to the Audit Commission, who will carry out an on-site inspection in the new year.
