Warwickshire Fostering Service Inspection Result

Warwickshire was subject to an announced inspection of Fostering Services in the week ending June 24th 2011. The purpose of this inspection was to assure children and young people, parents, the public, local authorities and government of the quality and standard of the service provided. The inspection was carried out under the Care Standards Act 2000.
The overall judgement is that the service is 'good'. Within this context 'good' means that the provision is strong.
There were six dimensions to the judgement, each graded separately:

- Helping children to be healthy was graded 'good'.
- Protecting children from harm or neglect and helping them stay safe was graded 'good'.
- Helping children achieve well and enjoy what they do was graded 'outstanding'
- Helping children make a positive contribution was graded 'outstanding'
- Achieving economic well-being was graded 'outstanding'
- Organisation was graded as 'good'
Promoting Equality and Tackling Discrimination (which appears in the main text of the report and is contained within the 'organisation' judgement) was graded 'outstanding'.
