Books On Prescription (BOP)

Recommended and clinically-proven self-help books or audio CDs on common emotional issues, such as stress, anxiety, depression, sleep and anger, are available for anyone to browse and borrow at Nuneaton, Bedworth, Bulkington and Camp Hill Libraries, and can be obtained via any library, mobile library or the Home Library Service across the Borough.  In addition, GPs and health professionals can prescribe the titles as an additional treatment option.   For more information, contact www.warwickshire.gov.uk/booksonprescription

NHS Teen LifeCheck is an on-line health service for teenagers aged between 12 and 15.  A quick, easy service that explores a range of health and wellbeing issues.
 
NHS Teen LifeCheck covers a range of health and well-being issues such as: physical activity; nutrition; solvents and illegal drugs; alcohol; smoking; sexual health as well as a range of emotional health issues.
Each section guides young people through a set of simple questions about their health and lifestyle choices and then offers confidential results and advice. You can watch helpful videos, set personal goals and choose to receive reminders to help them stick to their goals. Completed NHS Teen LifeCheck questionnaires are confidential.  No personal data is stored.
 
Both LifeChecks will not replace contact with GP's and health professionals but are complementary, giving additional information, top tips, support and links to local services.
