A special collection service is available to deal with bulky items of household waste such as furniture, fridges etc. The service is provided for the removal of household items only and does not include fixtures or fittings such as kitchen units, bathroom suites or radiators.
This service incurs a small charge to residents who wish to have items collected, and must be pre-paid and pre-booked.

Conditions
- Service available to all residents of the borough.
- Up to 5 items will be collected for £22.70 and a further 5 for £3.50 each (maximum of 10 items).
- Individual quotations can also be given for larger quantities of items.
- We can accept both working and non-working items.
- Collection will only be made from outside the property. No insurance for removal from inside property
- Items must be left together and must be easily accessible from the road.
- Collection will be from 8am Monday to Friday
- We will only take what is specified on our list.
- Acceptable items are those that would be taken when moving house. See list of accepted items.
- No fixtures and fittings such as radiators, doors, kitchen units etc can be collected. We can quote for certain items, see list of quotable items.

- Second Chance operate a furniture reuse scheme and can be contacted on 024 7632 6189 for more information and to discuss collection.
- You can also take bulky items in a car or unbraked trailer to the Household Waste Recycling Centre at Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton. Vans, pickups or large trailers need to apply to Warwickshire County Council for a permit. - You can also donate furniture and electrical items to your local British Heart Foundation store which is located at 6-14 Stratford Street, Nuneaton, CV11 5BS. You can drop items into the store or arrange a free collection by calling 0844 334 1414 or by booking online at www.bhf.org.uk. Please note, all items must be in working order, clean and of good condition and all upholstered furniture must have a fire label attached.
