River Valley Assessment 2007
Entec UK were commissioned by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council (NBBC) in May 2004 to undertake a Landscape Character Assessment of parts of the Borough covered by the Areas of Restraint (AoR) designation. In addition, Entec were asked to undertake a separate planning assessment of AoR against their stated purpose with a view to providing the Borough Council with a revised policy informed by a clear and robust evidence base
As part of the evidence base being assembled to support the Council’s Local Development
Framework, NBBC has chosen to extend the scope of the 2004 assessments to include the river valleys within the urban area which under the adopted Local Plan (June 2006) are principally designated as ‘Countryside’ (Policy ENV3). These are generally the river valleys that extend from the wider countryside and penetrate the urban area
