Conservation Areas

Conservation Areas are designated by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council because they are considered as areas of special architectural or historic interest that it is desirable to preserve or enhance. Conservation Areas can vary between different districts and can be anything from Historic Towns to Rural Villages.
Usually chosen because of their buildings, Conservation Areas can also be designated for their history, architecture, parks and trees. Conservation Areas give greater protection to the area as a whole that includes all the surrounding features, rather than a single listed building.
There are currently five Conservation Areas in Nuneaton and Bedworth, each of which is valued for its special unique character. The Council is pledged to protect and enhance these areas, reviewing them from time to time and publishing proposals for their preservation and enhancement.
The Borough's five Conservation Areas are:
- Bedworth Town Centre
- Hawkesbury Junction
